Beautiful Conversations (blog)

God's Life in Christ, In and Through You

Just heard this TV commercial from a well-known home builder:

"You're not just looking for a house, you're looking for a place for your life to happen."

Reminded me of what Jesus said to the Samaritan woman at the well.

God is looking for a place, your body, for His life who is Christ, to happen in and through you.

The only way God, who is Spirit, could have true worshipers to worship Him in spirit and in truth would be to live in those who believe the Son who is the truth!

John 4:21-24 (NKJV)
"21 Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. 22 You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. 23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

The true God who gave Jesus

The true God, who gave Jesus, is the only God whom you can't define by the conduct of us whom He created. He's not even defined by the conduct of those who believe Him.

Acts 17:28 "for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring."

Not "... for in us He lives and moves and has His being ... For He is also our offspring."

God is jealous For us

God is jealous FOR us, not jealous "of" us.

He's not vigilant in guarding Himself and creation so that we can't know Him or have Him. No!

He is vigilant in guarding US who are His creation, His Beloved, made in His image and likeness by Christ, His prize, that we might believe how jealous He is for us, and have Him (God) as our inheritance by faith, not works. Yes! Amen!

God is about people first!

God is all about people first. That's the Gospel, really, imo.

The Gospel is not we're all about God. Although that's how we Christians come across sometimes. Like we started the Gospel. Lol!

So if we're about people, it's because we believe the Gospel that God loved us first. We live by the faith of the Son of God who is about people, who laid down His life for people that we might believe God loves us, is not ashamed of us, and be saved. Where the true life begins.

And even if you don't believe the Gospel, you do good things for people because they (Father, Son, Spirit) created us in their image and likeness.

Lord Strength

The Lord is my strength.
He makes me brave about who He says I am in Christ Jesus!

"The Lord is my strength and my shield;
My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped;
Therefore my heart greatly rejoices,
And with my song I will praise Him."
(Psalm 28:7, NKJV)

Spirit of truth clarity

It's so clear now, Spirit of truth clarity through God's influence which is His grace in Christ before time began!

We looked at Adam instead of looking at God who wanted to be with Adam, to fellowship with Adam, to share His life with Adam, to enjoy intimacy so desperately with Adam just like he was.

God never stopped wanting intimacy with us just the way we are. God is love. He was so desperate that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes the Son (that is, whosoever wants to have intimacy with God) will inherit God, be co-sharers in the Godhead's (Father, Son, Spirit) quality of life with them now, have eternal life, even immortality with them.
